Finance Overview
See a chosen month's operating revenue, costs and profit at a glance, track the books day by day, and lock the whole month once it's reconciled.
12Pick the month to view
- Use the year and month dropdowns (top right), or the ‹ / › arrows, to switch months; click This month to jump back to the current month.
- Every card and table below updates to that month's figures instantly.
Read the month's profit and loss
- The four top cards: Operating revenue, Gross profit, Operating profit and Profit margin (operating profit shows in red when negative).
- Income statement splits the books into Operating revenue, Cost of goods sold and Operating expenses, each listing its per-category amounts.
- Cost-to-revenue ratio shows Ingredients, Rent, Labor and Total expense as a percentage of revenue; Delivery platform analysis lists each delivery source's Revenue, Platform fee and Net.
Capital flows (owner injections, transfers, withdrawals) are excluded from profit and loss.
Drill into a single day
- Scroll to the Daily breakdown table and click any date to open that day's daily-close page.
- Days with no entries show No records yet and a Record now link so you can start recording right away.
- Markers next to a date: Day off means a non-operating day; 🔒 means the day is already closed.
Close the month (lock the whole month)
- First make sure every day in the month is reconciled and closed.
- Click 🔒 Close month N (top right, N is the current month) and confirm in the dialog; the month is tagged Closed and all platform / cash / expense records are locked.
Owner permission required.
The current (not-yet-ended) month can't be closed — the button is disabled and shows "Current month not finished; cannot close month".
If the month still has unclosed days, the close button stays disabled and a "{count} day(s) this month are not yet closed" warning appears; close those days on the daily-close page first.
Reopen the month
- A closed month shows a Closed badge and a Reopen month button in the header.
- Click Reopen month and confirm in the dialog; all of that month's records become editable again.
Owner permission required. Reopening the month does not change any day's daily-close status.
